Which has the most accurate performance results and which should one buy?
Both are decent, but still breath hot underhood air. True CAI's breath in cool ambient air. Vararam and Callaway Honker are widely considered among the best choices.

You do know that the front screens on a Zo6 have nothing behind them right? All the air is blowing right into the engine bay right past whatever airbox is sitting there from stock, Blackwing, or Haltech. Next time you have the hood open with you standing in front of the car, reach your arm around inside the bumper and you can touch the backside of the screens and see your hand. That whole area blows right past said filters located there.
The Honker has good fitment, but you hack your shroud and it pulls from radiator area which can be hot in stop and go traffic.
The Vararam has horrid fitment and is priced like Gold. They are tuned to give excellent ram air results at speed, but not so good at off-idle compared to the other airbox types.

Uhhh...yes, well aware. Being an open element design, those two intakes will still pull hot under hood air regardless of the front screens. But sure, the screens help.
OK...whichever one is cheaper. I'm sure performance is identical.
Not to go outside your paremeters again, but you may just want to save even more money and just go with either the "Flip Tie" or "Zip Tie" method(s) which are essentially free. Add a stock sized K&N to that if you like as well. Just another option...
