I recently purchased a 2003 Millenium Yellow ZO6 with the red/black interior. The car had just over 19k miles when I bought it. I'm just trying to create an owner trail and since its not a very common color combination I thought I might have some luck with this forum. The car was originally registered around 1/9/03 in Staten Island, reregistered in April 2006 in Glen Gardener NJ. Looks like it was purchased with 14K miles on it in March 2008 in Mendham NJ. and eventually traded in to an Englewood NJ dealer June 2010. There are two add ons that might help, the steering wheel has the C5 color decal applied and the rear has a C5 chrome plate between the exhaust tips.
Out of the 8,635 Z06 produced in 2003, a total of 1,435 had the black and red interior. I have not been able to get the number of Millenium Yellow cars that had that combo, but I would not think there were a lot. For some reason MY with a black and red interior just does not seem like a popular combo.
The two mods you mention are a real common mod on many C5's. Post up some pictures and maybe someone in the New York or New Jersey area will be able to help.
No matter how rare someone down the street will always have one just like it. There are a stupid low number of EB Z06s and Verts and there are several I pass by me local every week. I was even going to go Ron Fellows and that was a waste too. I swear I am going to find a gold C5 and call it a day. Or maybe a milestone. good luck with the search.
Why do you want to know who the original owner was?
It would be nice to know the cars history and find out more about mechanical issues etc. My dealer pulled up the service history and there's nothing there. Either the car ran great with no warranty items or he fixed it himself!
