I just changed my rear 9.5" thin spokes to 10.5" thin spokes and they look/fit great. The problem is that the wheel lug nut hole is a little deeper and the previous chrome nut covers don't fit. It looks like the cover needed needs to be deeper. Any information, part #, or correct covers, would be a great help.

I put 255x40x17 on 8.5" rims up front and 295x35x18 on 10.5" rims on the back. BFG T/A's. I could have put my 18"x9.5" with 265x35 rims on the front but this set up has the best stagger, is cheaper, and in my opinion give me the look I was looking for at this time. I have mini tubs to put in already, but the CCW 18x10 ft and 19x13 rears with PS2 345's are out of reach at this time. My 2-3 syncros went bad last week when it was cold out ( 45 degrees ). A new RPM 5 is going in next week and the money has to be used for that. I would like to use similar nut covers on the back as they also retain the center cover.
A deeper hole in the wheel should not stop the covers from going on. Does the new wheel have tapered holes to match the taper on the brass lug nuts? If not, you could have problems with wheel wobble if the aftermarket wheel center is not hub-centric. This would be the only reason the caps aren't fitting, rounded lug holes without taper and the outer threads of the brass nut are not fully exposed.
