I realized today that my baby will be going into storage soon so gave her a nice bath and wax job to make her happy. Got some lens flare on the ole iPhone but I dig the shot.
Hey, That's my car. Just kidding. I've got the same AE and mine's going to sleep for a few months this weekend. Kind of brings a tear to my eye. Sleep well babe we'll cruise again in the spring.

I drive my vette all winter but only on very, very nice sunny, reasonably warm days and only if there's no salt or other crap. I live next to a large four lane so I can get it out every once in awhile all winter and give it go.
Looks good,,I've always liked the AE color and interior combo!! I'm a little further south of you, down close to St.Louis, like 15 min.away,, actually follow the Cardinals!! I drive her year round,,only sits out the bad days!! With that sweet ride,,and your lake affect snow,,I guess Id keep her under wraps too!!
Mine goes into storage tomorrow. The weather looks good here in Chicago today, so I'm going to take it out for a spin before I clean it up and put it away.

I bought my 04' vert in July of 04' at the end of the C5 model run. I drove it up through November when the first snow hit (Chicago). I put her away for the winter with a battery tender/cover/plastic sheets underneath to prevent condensation, etc.
I transferred to Florida in January of 05' and lived in temporary housing through April when we transferred our children out of school and the family joined me in Florida. During one my February family weekends back to Chicago, it was about 40 degrees, sunny and balmy. A beautiful blue-sky winter day! The roads were nice and clean so I took out my vert, top down, for a cruise around town. In the midst of all the salt-covered, dirty SUVs and cars, my still new polished and waxed MSG convertible shined like a diamond. I don't think I ever got so many waves & thumbs up signs during any single drive than I did that day!
From: "It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and

I always found ironic while the rest of the country is out enjoying their cars all summer long, we kinda stick to the house and rarely go out. When you guys are starting the process of storing the cars, that's our prime driving weather. Gonna be 86 today and perfect top down weather. I feel for you guys, I don't even begin to miss the miserable weather.....I'll take our 100 degree+ heat in the summer for great weather the rest of the year.

Look'n good! I just drove mine today with the top down (74 in Dallas today), but it will get colder soon - heck, I had to turn the heat on in the house for the first time.
