Pressure sensor Service-who's trying to pull the wool over your eyes? How old are they? The lifespan is 7-10 years, if your getting close just replace them.

Could you please tell me where I can get some of this Tire Pressure Sensor Conditioner? Sounds like some mighty good stuff!

If you think you will be replacing the tires again in the next couple of years or so I would wait and replace them then. If its going to remain mostly parked like it has been the last 9 years replace them now. Your lucky, yours don't cost near as much as the earlier C5s.

I may be by myself here, but I don't replace working electrical parts "just in case they may go bad". I would use the originals as long as they would last. It's not like if a sensor battery dies, your car is stranded.

I agree to a point. The thing is you know the sensors have a service life and will go bad at some point, usually somewhere between 7 and 10 years. The '01-'04 sensors actually have a shorter life because when they go into sleep mode they do still transmit pressure readings once every 60 minutes rather than the once every 60 seconds when in motion. The early model sensors do not transmit while in sleep mode (not moving).

If you have run flat tires, most tire shops will charge you to dismount and mount the tire to replace the sensors because the sidewalls are too stiff to simply break the bead and replace the sensor as you can with non run flat tires. This charge means it makes sense to go ahead and replace the sensors if they are anywhere near the end of their service life and you have the tire off anyway.

Maybe even a little cheaper than that. I think I would go ahead and spend the $$$s and get them replaced when you do the tires.

I put Michelin's on our '02 with 34,000 miles last year and didn't change the sensors.

Kinda interested to find out how long they do last....
