Did you have the camera set on Auto mode? Or did you fiddle with the shutter speed and f-stop? Did you use a tripod?

I almost always use manual exposure. Sometimes I'll set it to Aperture priority - and see what the camera wants to do... That's when I play around with shutter speed & f stop to get closer to what I want.
No tripod for any of these - I shot most with a 70-200 lens, and kept the shutter speed above 200 - so no shutter / lens shake.
White Balance was usually set to cloudy to warm the photos up - since it was fall. The first photo is sorta of misleading - the car is Magnetic Red Metallic - just played with the white balance in Lightroom - since the leaves at the back were very "cool" looking -- I tried to restore the car color a bit - but like how it turned out
I can post higher res versions for those who'd said they wanted -- might be tomorrow night though
