To my knowledge GM did not make a Front Bumper Upper Hood Seal for the C5.
It comes with the C6.
Has anyone installed the C6 Front Bumper Upper Hood Seal on there C5?
Will it fit properly?
I ask because I do not like the after market seals compared to the GM Seal.

Not sure what the C6 seal looks like and how different it is than the common aftermarket C5 one. You are right that GM did not make a hood seal for the C5.
This is what i used after i pulled the junk seal i bought from a vender, its about 12 bucks and will do 3 seals, when this stuff is applied to a clean surface it will not come off. from home depot

The GM seal is not that expensive for the C6, so you could give it a shot! I would be happy to help you out with it.
Thank you for your response.
I found a C6 seal at my local dealership and it measures to short.
I ordered a C5 side fender seal as suggested by JISTARI above.
Cut to the proper length it fits perfectly and matches the fender sides.

i also tried using the side fender seal and i noticed it still let in water on top of my cai, the home depot seal seals the front air tight, i have never got any water in sense i changed it. keep an eye on yours if you are running a cai because you could be sucking water in without knowing...ed

Thanks for the heads up.
When you installed the Home Depot seal did you stick it to the horizontal surface or vertical lip surface of the front bumper?
you stick it to the front edge,it is the exact width of the front edge lip, not on the flat edge...it has been on my c5 for about 4 years and still looks like and function like new....ed

Ok for the visually challenged can we get a pic? thanks
home depot seal here... stuck straight down on the flat part
Ok,
We have maroman88 using the home depot seal on the flat surface, vetteplus attaching to the front edge. Either of you folks have a pic you can quickly post showing the exact seal used, and where mounted?
Think it would clear up a couple of questions some of us have.
