Default Throtte Body Recommendation

I'm interested in adding a 80mm or 100 mm throttle body to my 2004 LeMans Commemorative and would like recommendations. I've already installed Blackwing, Carbon Fiber Air Bridge w/ velocity stack, and have added Flow Master X-pipe, and full exhaust. I've read that after-market throttle body will increase horse power and peformance - is that right? How much? I want a throttle body that I can install myself with simple tools and does not require any other special parts or outside tuning, etc.
What do you recommend? Any concern about buying a used throttle body from a Forum member?

Also, wish to add short throw shifter, but want to use stock boot and ****. Recommendations?

Unless you plan on buying a new intake manifold you won't be going with anything but a ported 78mm throttlebody.

Swapping intake manifolds is not for the faint of heart, It is involved but not hard.

Also with your mods looking at the TB is a waste of money, you'll get maybe five horsepower and it isn't even worth the time involved unless you swap the manifold, even then on stock heads and cam you'll see 10- maybe 15 hp.

At nearly $1000 for an aftermarket TB and manifold it isn't the best bang for your buck mod.

The only thing you can do is get a ported TB or the BBK TB. If you ask me the BBK is a waste of money. You say full exhaust. Do you mean you have LT headers? If not that would be your best bet for more power.
