Where in the world do people get those rear side marker black-outs for the ZO-6. I was going to get the rear black out kit, but cannot accept the responsibility of the visibility issues in poor weather or low visibility...just not worth the risk and safety factor to fellow drivers.
The rear side marker black-out is not such a big deal though...
Go to the auto parts store and buy a can of VHT Nite Shades. Carefully mask around the side marker lights. Spray with two coats of Nite Shades. It will look like this in the daytime but still be visible at night. You can also do one coat on the taillights and the brake lights will still be very bright and noticeable in the day or night, and the tail lights will still be noticeable, also.
i used VHT night Shades as well..in order to take out the side markers you gotta take out the corner tail lights in order to access the 2 nuts on the side markers..be careful and spray some wd40 b4 u start wrenching on the side markers..their very flimsy and will break easily
I really liked this Vette when I pulled up behind it. It got bashed here on the forum, but IMO, it has a cool look to it. My tastes must suck-- I just keep mine bone-stock until it's completely paid for. Don't need to be harrassed for "murdered" looks...
