Took a little drive today and when I pulled in the garage to clean off the dust I noticed the stick-on wheel weight(s) from the left front laying on the floor. Apparantly it had came loose and when I cranked the wheel real sharp it fell out. It had a scrape on one end like it came loose and the caliper knocked it the rest of the way off.
The double sided tape is still on the wheel so I was considering marking the position and cleaning both the wheel and weight real well and using double sided tape to re-install.
It's just regular maintenance brother, just have all your wheels balanced. Only costs a few buck's and it's obviously been a bit since you've had it done, from the sound of things. But cleaner and 3M tape works too.
I don't drive it much through the winter particularly if there's salt residue on the Ohio roads. Also new tires in the spring so will try the tape today and see how it "feels" and let very one know. Thanks for the input.
Took the wheel off Friday and scribed a line around where the
weight(s) came off and then cleaned all the adhesive from the wheel and weight(s). I used 3M double sided tape from Advance Auto and stuck them back on in the exact spot.
Took her for a drive today and it felt pefect and I don't think the weights would come off without some serious work. Good for now!
The only little glitch.....I had to stop and pick up the jack puck that fell out on my street.
