I have a 2004 Z06 with Stoptech brakes and 18" Kinesis K28 wheels. I ran Michelin PS-2 tires for 17,000 miles. including a 4400 mile road trip. They cost about $1600, and corded the inside of the fronts first at that mileage.
Then I bought Nitto NT-05 tires for $879 and ran 9600 miles including a 2400 mile road trip AND 3 track days at MSR Cresson. The NT-05s have very good dry traction when warmed up, but were never as good as the Michelins in the wet. When I replaced them, the NT-05s were down below the wear bars in the rear, and to the wear bars in the front, BUT had perfectly linear wear patterns, with no cording. Your choice

Thanks for the review!
Were your alignment settings/ pressures the same on both sets?

Yes, thanks. My car is crossweighted and balanced, running aggressive street alignment settings of neg 1.5 degrees front with zero toe, and 1 degree neg rear with 1/16" toe. I run 30lbs front and rear on street and track.
Oh and I have replaced the NT-05s with Dunlop slicks from GT Tire
