How many of you have installed the Procharger, and how do you like it? Has it caused any problems?
I am thinking about purchasing one for our stock coup.

You'll love it!
Best dollar for HP mod you can do (Beside NOS, but don't like empty bottles) -
Keep it simple and not above 10 PSI of BOOST and you'll be safe making 500-550 RWHP easy
Make sure the shop who tunes it "KNOWS" what they are doing and are reputable.
It is a pretty straight forward install that can be done - I've done a few including my own and friends.
Check out the A&A Corvette set-up with the Vortech supercharger - one of the best kits out there for the money
Give Andy or Steve a call and they will help you out
Thanks for the information. I am looking forward to having a little more power, but did not want to waste the engine with to much boost. I will have to do some research on what the stock compression ratio is and if the LS1 pistons are forged or cast.
A lot of folks think about this and so do I. I got some good info to consider asking over at the FI section. Quite a few offered advice.
One person I spoke with had his SC'd at 50K miles, had 110K when we talked, he had little complaints. He is A4 so he got the trans done and some diff and axel work done too. He said he has never broke, was a DD for 2 years, raced a few times, and then back to pleasure driving. It had lots of go. He said it made over 520 but he had it detuned to about 490.
If you can resist going ***** out, a stock motor should make 120 more HPs easy and be reliable. You just can't wrap it around a tree.
Why I purchased the coup is that I found out that it has better aero than the Z06, and I like the looks of the coup better, and I could get more power with a SC than the stock Z06. Most of the 2002 stock Z06 vettes around here go for around 24K, and for the same amount of money I could get the coup and SC it.

Thanks again.
The LS1 pistons are Hyperutectic and it can safely handle 10 PSI of Boost!
If you want to keep things cooler and safer when you do a kit then you can install a methenol injection kit so when Boost comes on the Meth cools the air intake charge and your cylinders, makes more octane, cool temps, which will equal more RWHP
I'm running one of the oldest C5s made with 130K on the motor and just put on a vortech kit w/ 6psi boost. This is about as much reliable power as I can expect to get from the motor.
Bought a used kit that had a set ot A&A brackets, dual intercoolers. Ordered a brand new P1SC head unit, added LT's, dual springs, hardened push rods & installed @ 75,000 miles. Now have 92,000 miles & have never had a problem. Over 500RWHP @ 8 to 9#'s of boost. Drives like stock till you press the right foot down, then hang on. Oh forgot, the only problem I've had so far is increased tire wear.

Have had a Procharger D1 on the Vert for over five years and over 35,000 miles. Stock bottom end and 5 lbs of boost. Did add a Racetronic fuel system and 50 lb injectors. Putting down 523 RWHP. Not a racer so I am not thrashing it every weekend, but do play with it frequently.
The only problem I had was spinning a bearing in the head unit one month after it went out of warranty. Procharger stood behind their product, rebuilt the unit and didn't even charge me shipping. Think a lot of that had to do with the fact that they knew it had professional install, which is the only way to go in MHO. ECS did mine and I can't say enough about their work, but understand the East Coast won't work for you. A&A has a great rep also though.
You can dress them up too
Good luck

Very, very nice. Beautiful installation.
Thank you all for your help. I can't wait to get one installed. They look very well engineered.
Thanks again.
