Check the DIC for codes. http://gearchatter.com/ That's a good place to start. Check under the battery tray for evidence of a leaking(or has leaked) battery. Check to see if the column lock recall has been performed. If it' an M6, see if a bypass and a skip shift have been installed. Then check for normal wear and tear just as you would any other car.

I see you are in Oveido. I am over towards the Tampa area. Not sure where the car is but if you wanted an extra set of eyes to look at it and I could squeeze the time, I would be willing to check it out with you.
You may already have forgotten more than I know about these cars being you have been here much longer than me but a second set of eyes can always be helpful.
