I've been trying to figure out this P 0171 code and I'm thinking I might as well do a tuneup while working on getting this solved. How long should I give myself to complete the job? How hard is this? Any special tools needed? Keep in mind I have headers. Thanks for the help guys.

What do you mean by tune up? Changing plugs and wires or more than that? If you're just changing the plugs and wires then it shouldn't take more than an hour if you have a swivel for your plug socket.

About another 30 min. to clean the MAF and maybe change the air filter!! If you have a fair amount of miles or years on it might as well change the wires with the plugs,,they damage easily when trying to remove them!!
It's not really a dumb question at all. The basic thought is ask a bunch of people and average the times. Given that answer and an average skill set,you would be able to figure out how long to allow yourself to do it. Thanks to Munch and Itzza427 for answering.
It's an 04 and I'm pretty sure the fuel filter is part of the fuel regulator assembly. MAF is clean as of last night and will hopefully be doing plugs and wires this weekend.
It matters your difinition of the word "tune"......plugs & wires. All hoses,
all filters, belts and all fluids (diff. ---trans.---oil.---coolant---steering fluid---brake flluid---hit everything that moves with grease. Several hours.
