Default Question about cams

I'm considering a blower cam. This may be a dumb question so I apologize in advance.... The loping sound you get with a cam is awesome. I was wondering though how the overall sound is impacted. In particular, I'm running Corsa Pacecars and during highway cruise, its relatively quiet. If I put a blower cam in, would the cruise sound be much louder? I certainly don't mind how loud it gets when I go WOT... in fact, I embrace it. I'm just wondering what happens during non-agressive driving. Thanks

I'm assuming you're comparing the sound of a blower cam to the sound of a stock cam@ a cruise? If so, then I don't believe it'll be noticeably louder at that point, but my first cam really made a volume difference in every situation of acceleration. I've got the Pacecars, too, and since I've gone from a 228-232@112 to a 224-232@116, I can't tell any difference@ cruise speed. (or any where else, for that matter) I just remember the increase in volume when I completed my H/C install a few years ago. I think you'll like a blower cam for everyday use. It'll give you a nice HP/TQ bump, and drive like stock. The only thing you'll miss is the big lope@ idle. My blower cam still has some lope; definately not stock sounding.
