Default Z06 Auto Conversion Wiring

I have everything from a donor C5 including the wiring harness for the auto conversion. Will anything need to be hand wired or will the new harness take care of all the wiring? The rest of the swap is straight forward, I am just not 100% about the wiring.

Thanks

It's not that simpel going from a six-speed to an auto.

You'll need to add a harness in the engine compartment (RPM Transmission) sells them.

You'll have to re-pin the PCM harness, re-flash the PCM and whole host of other little stuff.

You'll need to weld a bracket in the tunnel for the shifter cable.

Adapter Plate between the transmission and differential.

Run Cooler lines and tranny cooler.

Auto Pedal / Switches to make everything work.

Best bet is to buy a set of manuals for year car and read thru the schematics.

Thanks,

I ended up calling RPM, they were a big help on the wiring. I know its not just a plug n play swap but I am very familiar with vettes and ls conversions and have built quite a few from the ground up. I also have the whole donor auto C5 to use for any thing I need. I have done many LS conversions into many other cars so I do not think making a Z06 an auto will be very hard compared to a full ls conversion from scratch.

It's not hard to do if you have the right tools, parts, etc ...

I've done a few both ways now. Mechanics are pretty straight forward, it's sorting out the wiring to make sure everything works correctly.
