Default Jack Pads

I am new to the Corvette world and my first oil change is coming up.

Where is a good place to get these jack pads?

It would also be nice to get a recommendation on a good online parts business. What do you guys recommend?

Any info would help. Thanks!

Elite Engineering is about 15 min from my house. (gotta support my local guys!)

But you can find them all over the place. Google search... I like EE design.

Thanks! I found some on ebay that were pretty cheap and full aluminum. I will see if I win those. I also found A and A Corvette here in CA. Pretty good shop.

Those are nice, and you can pick them up from Bavarian Auto...but I've heard they have been known to fall out from time to time while driving. That would suck...

You don't need pads I think this thread explains it all.

They snap into place tightly. Maybe there's been different sized versions available from BMW? I know they make them in the round and square versions. My round versions have been installed permanently for 4 1/2 years...never lost one yet. When I drive up on my four post lift, the drivers side BMW pucks scrape on the ramp/runway and while they've been gouged, they haven't fallen out.

If you inadvertently leave an aluminum or hockey puck version in place and it falls out, someone behind you is going to be upset.

The aluminum and hockey puck versions are twice as thick as the plastic BMW versions, so you need a lower profile jack to get under them. And if you carry them with you all the time, they take up valuable storage space. Some have mentioned the hockey puck versions give off a foul odor over time.

My BMW pads have been in for 6 years no problem. Just have to make sure you snap them in all the way.
