I drove a customer's C5 one time that had the "split window" look. He had a bunch of electronics in his car and I actually thought it was some sort of fancy-shmancy antenna. It was about 1 1/2" wide and the last thing I would have thought was that it was to duplicate a '63 split window". Not my cup of tea.

As TR6speed said, I know you didn't ask for opinions, but I just had to chime in. 
I think it would be cool if this were an actual split window. But much like the faux Z06 Brake Ducts, this "stick-on" is a matter of personal preference. If you like it, go for it.
