Want a catback for a stock '01 6spd, and if I could afford it I would get a Corsa. Will a (used, good condition) Magnaflow 15713 give me a catback with sound similar to a Corsa Touring/Pace Car will little or no buyers remorse?
I'm trying to get a handle on what cat-back to with as well. From what I can tell, there is NOTHING that will give you the Corsa sound other than Corsa, which sucks because I simply can't understand why two mufflers and some pipe cost ~$1300.

So far no opinions on the Magnaflow 15713 quality or user satisfaction?
I just put on 15713s with the xspower headers and I'd say they are more of deep rumble sound....I will tell ya I get some heavy drone in 6th at 1500rpms....
Not a problem to me I just don't drive there.
No popping on decel either.
Good Luck with your choice
I felt the same way about three years ago when I wanted to get a new exhaust system. I wanted something that sound good, yet did not produce a drone at cruise. I did a lot of looking and listing and ended up with the Mid America Quad Power system. Here is there link and they have some sound bites from a few different systems as well as a rating system. http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette-2-36-7994.html
Here are a few shots of mine and I also put on the X-Pipe.
Good link, seems like drone could be an issue. I am going to try the catback only and open up the dime size hole in the stock h-pipe crossover tube. $$ constraints are having me go in this direction. If that thing sounds like a fart in a bean can I'm gonna be pissed.
Honestly, I would just wait and save for the Corsa, because in the end, you will always be kicking yourself and saying, "why didn't I get the Corsa?"
Yes, the price is ridiculous, and the Corvette tax sucks, but it will be worth it down the road when the exotic Corsa sound (with ZERO drone) puts a grin on your face every time you stomp on it!

I have tried a bunch of different exhaust (including Corsa).
I am kicking myself I did not get the GHL Bullets the first time and saved myself some wasted time, and a bunch of cash ! No drone on my car (even with heads/cam/long tube headers). Deeper sounding than Corsa too.
