Intake, Catback and Headers are the normal bolt ons and you can intall them if you have jack stands, you will then need a tune to get the most out of the new air in and air out mods

C5 Corvette Performance

We offer many different ways to increase the power and performance of your C5. Decide what your plans are for the car, will it be a daily driver, a weekend warrior, or a track day special? Typically a free flowing intake system coupled with a cat-back exhaust are the first thing people do, both for the HP and the sounds.

Feel free to give me call if you have any questions.

Except, I think you need more lift than jack stands can provide to swap the catback, and judging by your question I'm guessing headers would be too involved of an installation for you to tackle on your own.

I think you should research intakes and pick one you can install yourself, then go to a reputable shop if you want headers or a catback.
The LG and Halltech systems are easy to install http://www.lgmotorsports.com/catalog...?cPath=342_224

If you want to keep your car CARB approved, I think K&N and Callaway are your only intake options, although they're a little more involved.

Well my goals are to get it started and finish it quick so I can use it. My Budget is 5,000 and I want ideas other than superchargers or turbos.

That should net you about 30 rwhp or so.

Is your car an automatic? If so then for way less than $5000 you can go with long tubes, catback, blackwing intake, dyno tune and a set of 3.42s. That combo will truly "wake the car up"! Total cost about $4000 to $4500 bucks! I did my old "97" with these mods and took the car from a mid 13 car to a 12.97 car.

p.s. A good dyno tune is the best bang for the buck [in my humble opinion]

LG long tubes and a vararam intake are two nice bolt ons. We have a package deal on them right now http://www.shop.jwmotoring.com/produ...&categoryId=12

I have a "98 vert and I did WCC long tubes, X pipe, high flow cats and Corsa pace car catbacks with a vararam CAI and I had it tuned after everything was installed, what a difference. You will definitely need a tune afterwords. I paid about $3500.00 for it all. I am also looking to change my diff to 3.42's and torque converter next. Good luck

I started with an air bridge and K&N Filter.

Added a z06 exhaust with the bypass mod.

Next to the list is XS Long tubes and x-pipe.

So far budget is looking good.
