Well the automatic requires dropping the exhaust, manuals don't. But they are a PITA to get out. And I have one with a faulty vent valve.
This is the right side (passenger) tank. The valve that sticks out pointing left just aft of the darker blue assembly is the faulty one. The brighter blue interface above is the interconnect between the two tanks.
Heard something move at the rear when coming to a stop a couple times. I have nothing loose in the trunk and it went away after I got gas. Wild guess it may have been a gas tank.
I highly doubt that, knowing how they are fastened in there. I believe it is a 6-bolt metal shield that would have to be removed first before you start to cause any slight movement.
Look for something else that is causing that noise.
