Common problems.
Now the plastic bush on the end of my transmission cable is broken so the whole cable needs replacing.
I see from a search that this is also a common problem.
I'm not too concerned about paying $100 for the cable or the $45 for shipping or the $530 for fitting,
that's the price we pay for owning a Corvette.
I do mind the fact that for a few cents for a securing clip the problem could have been avoided from day one!
What were the engineers thinking of?
There is a similar joint on the gas struts for the trunk, complete with securing clip,
so why not on something as stressed and inconveniently placed as the shifter cable?
So gents, what can I expect next as a "common problem"?

Hopefully you won't experience the other common problems that have been reported with the C5.
