Hey all,
Might be a stupid question , might not be but, the oil pressure sensor when you install a new one, you just remove the old and just screw in the new or should you put something like teflon tape on the end or something for leaks? Just a curious question, i searched and cant find anything that states if you do or dont, know the ground is part of it being screwed in has something to do with it but want a more knowledgeable answer
Thanks

Thanks cody, hopefully someone will give me a better idea, dont see why you cant but? first time replacing it and sure dont want any problems or having to do it again.
thanks again.
Just replaced mine about a month ago. There is usually red colored sealant on the threads, so no teflon tape is needed. Be sure to torque it to 15 lbs, any more will cause premature failure. Thats pretty much it.
Ok, Good deal, thanks everyone, wanted to make sure. didnt really look at the end just ; remember it almost looked rusted i thought, probably the coating your all talking about. Anyways, thank you everyone for the tidbit of help, got a torque wrench so will torque to 15 ft lbs as described.
THanks again.
