Congratulations and welcome to C5 ! Anniversary Red can take on a different look in different lighting conditions.
Plenty of posts on the Anniversary Editions here, use the search tool for a wealth of information, everything form the paint to production numbers, to... you name it...
Best to you on your new A/E, and good luck on the sale of your C4.
Mike Mercury, I'm not even close to finished reading your website as I'm still on your brothers 1974 Corvette but it is really bringing tears to my eyes.
You guys were the ones I'd see driving my Dream Cars back then as a little kid with my parents. The "Speed-Racer" Mach 5 cars.
Thanks for posting the links. Back to the time machine for me.
Many people do not know that all 2003 Corvettes were considered 50th Anniversary Corvettes. Only the 50th-Anniversary Special Edition Corvette came with lustrous burgundy with Xirallic aluminum-oxide flakes floating under a special tinted clear-coat, champagne wheels, complemented by special Shale interior trim with anniversary badges and elaborate cockpit embroidery.
Well, I didn't see a whole lot of threads with pictures of the 50th Special Anniversary Corvette in them. So, I figured I'd post a couple of mine. I have many pictures but, this should do for now. If there is an interest I can post up more later. My car is bone stock except for gold Corvette lettering, Centerforce DF, internal horsepower boost of about 60HP and a B & M Short Shifter(not pictured here). I wanted mine to look as it came from the factory. I think it's beautiful just the way it is imo.

All 2003 Corvettes had a little mention that 2003 was the 50th anniersary year in the way of an added inlay on the emblems but only these Anniversary Red cars with the 50th fender badges were what they actually called the Anniversay Edition cars.
In 2003 the Anniversay Edition Corvettes accounted for 33% of the entire Corvette production run...
