I know that it has been done and I did a search with minimal results..... I want to know if anyone know exactly what it entails to install gen 3 viper seats in a vette. How much work does it take? Any one got pics? Please help me out I need seats soooooo badly and I really wanna get some nier ones instead of recovering mine......

I'm right behind you brother... from those pictures above, I definitely would not mind putting Gen 3 Viper seats in the car. Especially if doing so costs less than Carvaggio's $3K price tag. (Not that the Carvaggio seats are bad in any way... just expensive).

 

Well looking on ebay the gen 3 seat can be had for 600-1200 a pair based on condition, thats right in line with eather recovering your old ones or getting A4s. Personally Id take the viper seats of the three so I am really interested in what it entails.......heck I can weld I may get tempted to try and make something work and just grab a piar lol......

 

I looked into this some time back. I contacted a shop that had done the swap and was told that it was possible, but very difficult and expensive. I wish I could remember more details, but it's been a while. I ended up going with C6Z seats which are a huge improvment, but I would have gone with the Caravaggio's if I fit them.

 

Join a viper forum and search if people have mentioned it there. If not just ask someone on there to take any and all measurements of their seats and rails. I'm sure someone has already done that on here to c5 seats. This is a crazy idea I've never heard of, pretty cool. Also, similarly styled and great quality seats are GTO seats. But they are probably a super tight fit. Maybe not.

 

Yeah I was going to post up over there and see if anyone had dimensions......I looked at the GTO seats Im pretty sure they would be to wide to fit in a c5 tho....
