apparently redline recommends their 75w90 for the Z06 as it already has the additives in it.
oh and I don't have a manual, but he states that the manual says no WOT for 300 miles after changing diff fluid? is that true? kind of hard to do in my Z06, but I'll try my best
Never heard of the 300 mile "break in" after a fluid change. I use Royal Purple, it already has the correct amount of LS additive in it but I am pretty sure the Mobil 1 LS is the right stuff. Its about 1.7-1.9 Qts to fill it.
I have done a few diff lube changes and never heard about the 300 mile rule. Hell once I did the diff oil change drove to the track and knocked off a 125mph trap and no issues.
Anyone know for sure about the mobil 1 ls having the additive? I suppose it does since it's 'ls'
And the 300 mile no wot is in the manual. Don't have a manual to verify. Some people say it's unnecessary and few figure 8s will do the trick.
Mobil one synthetic gear lube is great, but cost @$20/qt. Walmart has a synthetic 90w gear lube with the same specs for $5/qt. Something to think about.
