Default C5Z Seat Height Adjustment

Hello all, so I have been lurking on here for some time and figured I would register now.

I am test driving my first C5Z this Sat. and I am wondering one thing, in what ways can you adjust the driver seat? And, is height one of the adjustments?

I read somewhere that on early C6 Z06's there was no height option, even though the base vette had it.

Any input you guys can offer is really appreciated, thank in advance!

My 2002 Z06 has a power drivers seat that goes up, down, front and back.

Thank you guys, I am really excited to drive this car tomorrow. Hopefully if the car looks good, history checks out, and we can agree on the price...then I can officially join the community before the end of 2010

Good luck with the viewing. From what I can tell its more of a rock back/ forth rather then height straight up and down. Kinda weird. You will see...

Yeah, that's what I thought - a rotation about a horizontal axis as opposed to a vertical translation. Hopefully that doesn't sound like gibberish...

I doubt it will be a big enough issue to stop you from buying it. I'm only 4" taller than you. If we assume 2" of that is in my legs, which doesn't affect ride height, then we can estimate that your eyes will be riding roughly 2" lower than mine. That really doesn't seem too bad to me.

so checked out the car today and it was amazing and yes the seat adjust fine for me

I am in love with the car, but only issue now it price. The owner is set at $27,900 and I really can't afford more than $24,000.

It would be a huge strech, but if we could meet in the middle I would make it work

It should be either really low mileage and perfect or maybe a low mileage 2004 Z16 option car for that kind of price. there are many nice 2001-2004 Z06s available for much less than that. I do not know where you are but if you check the San Fran., Sacramento, Los Angeles or Orange County Craiglists you will find them.

It is a lower mile (25k) 04 z06 w/ z16 package

I don't care much either way for the z16, its cool to have but not a deal breaker or maker. BUT, I am pretty set on getting an 04 car that is under 30,000 miles.

BTW I am in central jersey, I found the last car posted on this forum and it has been well-maintained and documented.

If he calls me back and is willing to move on the price a little more then I will likely buy it

So I got him to come down a little, told him I'd think about it

Its late now, but I will give the owner (also a forum member) a call tomorrow to let him know I want it

I am off work for a week during Christmas, do you guys think $500 bank deposit is good for him to hold it till then? Maybe less? or should I not put money down for a deposit?

FYI...no c5 corvettes came with chrome wheels. coupes and verts had polished aluminum and z's had a gray colored wheel. with the exception of the 50th packages that had a champaine colored wheel..
