X-Pipe Install
I bought a new Borla X-Pipe #60087 for my 01. However it didn't come with the instructions or more specifically the needed measurements for cutting the H-Pipe. Does anyone have a pdf instruction file or the measurements for accuracy?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hello from loveland Co
I have a couple local shops that you can run to and have it installed. call me if you are interested. If your going to do it yourself then you need to just eye ball it and CUT long... its allways easier to shorten it... looks like it has a slip fitting so keep in mind you need the stock pipe to run into the slip fitting. Let me know if you want help getting your hands dirty, i will gladly come over on a sunday or tuesday.
if you wanna have a shop install it I have had both shops do work for me for many many years.

Measure twice and cut once
Measure from where it attaches to the over the axle muffler pipes back and you will know where to measure on your existing pipes to cut - just make sure you mark where it ends up in the new x-pipe and not at the end
Thanks,matt

I had a muffler shop install an x-pipe on my '00 - they held the x-pipe up against the stock pipes and measured a bit long on the stock ones then cut. If they needed to adjust the length of the remaining stock pipe, it was an easy thing to do.

Not sure if it is the same on the borla as it is on the corsa but one pipe is meant to be longer than the other.
Make sure whoever installs it realizes it. I know the bone head that i told did not listen or understand engrish and had to weld more pipe to fix his mistake.

Melting Slicks
I have this same X-pipe sitting in my trunk right now; planning on installing it on Saturday. I was under the car this past weekend and came up with what I think is a good plan for getting accurate measurements if you don't have someone else to help you. Here's what I'm going to do:
1) Lift and secure vehicle in a SAFE manner via jack stands, ramps, etc.
2) Roll underneath on a creeper with the X-pipe lying on your chest.
3) Zip-tie the X-pipe flush to the stock H-pipe such that the rear flanges are perfectly aligned.
4) Mark the stock pipe for cutting, remembering that you'll want ~2-3" of overlap.
You'll want a chain-style pipe cutter:

and probably an exhaust pipe expander:
