Gas guage
98 coupe 108k miles auto
OK, so I stopped at the Shell station, left the car running and pumped in about 20 dollars of V-power as usual. My gas gauge did not go up immediately but finally started going up as I drove.
Sulfur buildup?
Does this seem normal or am I in for an occasional occurence of this. I did put in some Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus a couple of months ago, should I start using it more often in order to dissolve any sulfur buildup?
By the way, it was a daily driver until the temps dropped below 32. Bought it in May and have put almost 6000 miles on it.
That doesn't sound like a sulpher buildup probem to me. It sounds more like a slow reaction time on the sensor. (maybe the cold weather causing slow movement?) It won't hurt to put a bottle of the Texron in about every 6 months to retard any buildup of sulpher. Tomorrrow would be a good day to start.
