Stalling if put in neutral while moving
I looked at the hose that connects to the intake box, and it's on there nice and tight. it's also connected to the AIR pump as well.
I also cleaned the butterfly (it was pretty damn dirty) when I took out the air box thing. it did move back and forth a bit, I doubt this caused a problem though. I read this thread and apparently the way it works is when you start the engine the throttle goes to the last known position. now since I moved it back and forth, I'm thinking if I caused a confusion with the sensor. Then I read this thread and there is a re-learn process (i'm going to try it now)
you guys think I messed up the TPS by moving it back and forth to clean it? I just doubt that's possible though. When I step on the gas it's very responsive and just goes. The only problem is when the car is moving and idling. it gets pretty bad if I put it in neutral and come to a stop at a light, it pretty much hits around 200 RPMs, then stalls if it decides to
just to make sure, these cars don't have an idle control valve right? the throttle controls how much air needs to come in when the pedal is not stepped on.any help is appreciated.
ps, I also threw the code HVAC - B0441 C
no idea if that has anything to do with it.
Going to work today with cruise control at 80 for about 20 miles and when getting off the ramp, I put it in neutral and let it coast. Sumbitch stalled on me while coasting in neutral...
I took the air box off and put it back on hoping it would fix a leak I had. Nothing...
Wtf can this be?
Still got the p1416 c code as well. I didn't have that before. I looked at both ends of the hose (from air box to the air pump) and both are snug.
Wtf?
What are the items and factors that control idle while moving?
