Default 102 mm TB anyone installed?

My 416ci should be going back in this week. A ported Fast 102 is part of the package.

I would like to upgrade my air intake including a 102mm TB & 100mm MAF. Preferable a cold air intake.

Hoping another member has done this & would share how it was accomplished.

I have a Fast 102 and NW 102, with a CF Halltech and LS7 MAF sensor. Call Jim at Halltech and he will know what to do. Just make sure you get a tuner that knows what there doing.

Tx's for the response, I ended going as you suggested.

I was hoping to come up with something different because of how the heat builds from the engine. My previous Venom setup the IAT's would climb then it would take a long time to transfer that dead hot air out.

I may try to fabricate a shroud like the C6's or maybe something just to allow cooler to enter that cavity.

I've contacted Nick regarding the TB & have sent my file over to him for those changes. I beleive Halltech provides there MAF table changes as well.

I currently have an LS7 427ci in my C5 Z06 with a ported FAST 102 and the 90mm TB. I have an appointment for 12/27 (if weather is good) to get the NW 102 TB installed and tuned at ECS. I'll let you know how it goes.

You have a very cool build there!

I've searched this 102mm TB & its seems the gains are substantial with modified engines & supporting intake tract's. I have a ported 90mm TB & Venom intake from my original LS1 build. Did not want to leave anything on the table power wise with this new 416 so I'm plowing ahead with 102mm.......big bucks for these last details!

When you are looking at CAIs don't overlook the Halltech Killer Bee II C5 LS1/LS6 Conversion Package. If you got a 102 FAST and a 102 Throttle body there's no point in having to live with a 100mm MAF.

Without knowing your engine build specs you might take a look at the thread below. It's a 427 LS2 build, but it shows some nice gains opening things up on the intake side..

I would call VA speed if you have any questions. I have a 416ci with L92 heads and I plan to give VA Speed a call some day to upgrade my setup which was an early build before everyone figured out these heads like smaller cams.

I had already checked out Kevin's intake, he has different hood that allows a much better air intake. Very cool build BTW with exceptional results.....the devil is in the details & of course the budget.

Another thread will be started with details of my build hopefully very soon. Car should be going back together now.

Very similar idea as Kevin's in terms of drivability, my previous 346 used a 228/228 113* that produced exceptional power while very civil street manners & good mpg if that is important.

My 416 is going the cathedral head style, the latest head from AFR with 102mm Fast both being ported by Tony Mamo. Cam selection that should match the manners of 346.
