I have a 99 Vert, probably the same place. Under the drivers side area. Need to take off the kick panel under the steering wheel, you will see it as you look up in the middle. If you know what it looks like it will be easy to see. If not, look on EBAY and they are all over it, so you can see what it looks like. I just don't have a pic to send, but someone else here may.
Sorry for the kinda dark pics but it's pretty dark stormy and raining outside right now
Here you go: I ran all the wires under the carpet and towards the front - some down the center for the radio and the power and ground wires I ran to the right down the passenger side
dude, that's tight... are you using that with the stock system or did you replace your stereo and other speakers too? can i use this with my stock system?

Sorry for the delayed response!
I no longer have the stock 'RADIO' but I am still using all the stock BOSE speakers with my KENWOOD DNX6160
A BAZOOKA Tube can be used with the stock/factory BOSE stereo system (Head unit and Speakers) - the Bazooka Tube Hrness will allow you to kook it up and run it - there is also a kit you can get that will allow the factory head unit to split into RCA Jacks
Here is a couple of shots of my set-upI did not have the radio on at the time sorry)
To answer the OP's question correctly, the Bose Amp is part of the door speaker assembly. It only powers the 8" sub in the door. The device mounted under the dash on the drivers side is the Bose signal processor. The front 4" and rear speakers are powered by the amp in the radio.

That is correct "BUT" the door Sub's are 6" not 8"

Thank u my door speakers are 8" sub need bracket made to install 6 3/4 component spkers.
So SilverC5, What does the signal processor do? I see it always advertised as an Amp, but you say not. Just trying to enlighten myself, so I'm not giving out bad info on here.
Thanks

The signal processor is the Bose magic that takes away the control over the sound that normally would be there. Its input is the full range signal from the radio. The output is split into two parts, approx. 100 Hz and up and 100 Hz and below (I do not have the exact frequency split available right now). The 100+ signal is sent back to the amp in the radio. The low frequency signal is sent to the amp in the door for the 8" sub. There is also some equalization applied to match the output to the speakers.
