I ordered one of the painted underhood kits from RPI Designs, and got it in the other day. I got a chance to install it this weekend. I am waiting on a couple of pieces still, but here is a pic of everything I got installed so far.
I have a shorter plenum cover on order from RPI. The one currently have installed, I bought used here on the forum. It was a blemished item with a small bubble and I don't like the full cover that covers up the throttle body, so the new one will look better IMO. I also will be putting on some fender covers.
The last few things then to complete my engine bay will be:
- Get rid of the fire blanket and have the underside of the hood painted. With the thick halltech airbridge, it rubs on the blanket and so now has a spot on it, which is an eye sore.
- Get the alternator and bracket high polished from the folks at oversteering inc
with that, I think I'll be happy with the underhood looks and can focus on finishing up the interior.
Looking good! Post more pics when you get the other items.
Amazing how bad the stock alternator/bracket looks when the engine bling is added. I'm thinking about having mine powder coated or polished as well. I would rather spend the $$$ on that than on a cover.

Yeah that's the same route I'm going. I have the alternator cover as part of the kit, but have never been a big fan of that, so going to send them off and get them polished up.
btw, since I got the new upper radiator support piece as part of the kit, I have my stock one that I'll be selling. I'll make a post up in the for sale section unless someone wants to pm me for it.

I'm trying to time the project so that when I have the alternator/bracket polished or powder coated, I also swap out the hoses for braided hoses. I see you have some cool blue hoses as well. That really adds a nice touch to the engine bay.
It seems you and I are working on opposite projects as I plan to finish my interior and then move into the engine bay.

It never stops....
That's true. I keep finding more things I want/need to do. It's never ending, and my pocket book hates me for it

Man it is looking 95% better getting the Alternator & bracket chromed. Will be 100% better love the blue on the car and under the hood...

I searched for this company and come up with nothing (odd I thought). Do you have a link or phone number? I'm headed down the same path with my alternator.
