Interstate 10 in Texas is approx 881 miles long and the portion of it that's 80 mph is out in the western section and is faaar from heavily populated areas. Even from SA, you gotta drive 80-100 miles to find the 80 mph zone. 
Good thing DPS is usually a bit lenient out there.

Actually we have a lot in Texas(Dallas area). Like football, lots of bad Cowboy jokes. The new stadium is a great tornado shelter, cause there are no Touchdowns there. Or, the guy who got a ticket driving through Arlington, they gave him a ticket to the cowboys game. OUCH!! I have lived in Texas 29years, and its not bad, except the warm summers ( usually just a month of straight 100's). You don't want Amarillo, not where one really wants to be, its a different animal out there.
