"HELP" Replacing running/directional signal lights
I have 2001 C5, all the lights are pretty simple to change out when they die except the running lights. Can anyone out there tell me an easy way to do this??? Or is there one? All information and help is very appreciated..
The housing for the parking/daytime running lights utilize 2 bolts that affix it to the bumper. You can get to 1 underneath the front bumper and the other i was able to get using a small ratchet and going thru the front brake duct opening. The plastic housing can be moved aside w/o incident and the bolt is right above it. Unfortunately small hands are easier to do this. To just replace the bulb and leave the housing intact, you'll be feeling around 'in the dark'...whatever is easier for you.
The method described won't work if you have big hands though. I have to loosen the fender splash guard and go in behind the lamp housing instead of through the brake cooling duct.
