need advice on armrest latch

Default need advice on armrest latch

Has anyone had there armrest latch fall down into that little space it occupies [not the key lock area] but where is closes the armrest lid.How do u get it out of there and how can it be fixed or does a new one need to be bought somewhere and how does it install? is it a snap in? anyone know?

You may have to take the console loose - check on the Vette Essentials web site for removal instructions.

Mine goes down if I accidentally hit it when moving my arm in the console. I have to use a key or the pen I keep in the console to pry it back up. I dont know if thats what your talking about, but if it is, you dont need a new latch. Just pry it up.

It has got to come out. Chances are it is broken but you wont know until you remove the armrest. Since I can get mine out in about 3 minutes now I personally wouldn't waste my time prying it only to find out it is broken And must be removed anyway.
