Default CTEK 7002 charging behavior question

I purchased a CTEK 7002 and it doesn't appear to be working correctly. I have an Orbital AGM battery and my vette is stored in an unheated garage. The battery was being maintained by a BatteryTender Plus so it was fully charged. I have the mode set to Snowflake/AGM as the manual suggests.

The charger never seems to stay in maintenance mode for more than a minute or two. It keeps cycling through each step, like it is in am infinite loop. It quickly goes through lamp 1 and lamp 2, then lingers at lamp 3 (absorption) for a few hours, switches to lamp 4 (maintenance) for a few minutes and then starts the charging cycle all over again.

The manual states the once it goes into maintenance it should stay there for 10 days for a float charge and them go into a maintenance pulse mode. It isn't doing this.

I have tried the charger on my daily drive, which is a '09 Camry Hybrid. It performs the exact same way.

If I put the charger in "normal" mode, it appears to function right on both of my vehicles. The manual states that the charging cycle for "Normal" and "Snowflake/AGM" are the same, with the exception the the initial voltage is raised from 14.4 V to 14.7 V.

How does your 7002 perform when in Snowflake/AGM" mode? Does it stay on maintenance once the battery is charged?
