Semi-winter storage
Hey guys - with all of the snow up here in the northeast now and roads being a mess, I want to basically retire the Z for the winter, I do sometimes take it out if we have had a little rain and the roads are mainly clear of salt..the sand i do not mind all that much just for a quick little ride here an there nothing crazy. However I do not have a battery tender and i figure i am able to start the car up every couple weeks to take it for a ride so no "long term" storage here and it is in my garage at my house. However should i put some sort of fuel stabilizer in the tank as well? If i am not going to be filling up regularly each week etc? Like i said this isnt a car thats going to be stored for 3-4 months straight with not being turned on at all or driven, but atleast for the next few weeks i see minimal use. My battery is brand new mind you. Thanks

Never used a battery tender in my 04Z and still have the original bettery. I start it every 4 to 6 weeks, drive it around the storage area, and let the oil temp get to 180. I would use stabil if I were you.

You should be fine without a battery tender, If you can start it every two weeks and let it warm up to normal temp. I would however fill her with a full tank of Gas. The less air you have in the Gas Tank, the slower the Gasoline can break down. She should be fine.
