I use Meguiars/Mirror Glaze products, generally use NXT wax, Quick Detailer and the Number 2 Fine Cut cleaner and Number 9 Swirl Remover, the last two are best used with a high speed machine. Occasionally I have also used Zymol.
Wash mine by hand unless I'm out touring, then I use a wand wash, gets the bugs n stuff off. I guess I'm not quite as meticulous as some of you. I'll have to check out Mr. Bills wash guy when I'm in Reno.

Wise move on the hand wash.....Since buying the Vette, I have become a freakin' fanatic on car paint....paint is easy to scratch, h*ll to clean up.....spending 20-30 hours with a buffer on scratches affected me..
Wand wash the undersides maybe but, auto car washes on the painted parts are a NO-NO.....
I run my vette through the local no touch carwash sometimes. I think its absolutely fine going through a no touch, but a full touch carwash....I wouldnt dare take my vette through there. Sometimes I dont have the time to spend hours on a wash, but the car wash is my last resort. Plus its good for the undercarriage (if there is an option for it).

Someone on this forum once said if you have to ask about a automatic car wash with brushes , then you bought the wrong car .
That's a little harsh but vette clear coat does scratch easy
If you are not into hand washing your car find a local that does hand washing, I have a guy here that hand washes the car, blow dry and does the inside when I don't have time to do it, He charges 20 bucks, But is looks great when he is done, He even washes the tires.

TR6speed wins the best-idea-of-the-day award.
I've never seen a soaker hose that has enough pressure to clean anything!
Use Dri Wash N Gaurd only. My '99 has never had soap & water on it period ( unless I get caught in rain). Although I'm a distributor for it, still wouldn't use anything else. Car wash....OMG!!!!!
I drive my car like a normal person and it gets far more abuse going to and from work than it does from a car wash.
In the summer I do it by hand in my driveway. When it's 25* outside, I'm not glutton for punishment and take it to a bay or drive through. When there's salt on it, I'll definitely use a drive through wash with the undercarriage spray.
