It's a new year!
It's a new year and I see alot of new folks on the Forum writing about their new acquisitions (read C5s). Some are young and some older, and you're all proud of your new toys. Be careful with them, be very careful! These cars have more power than most of you are used to and they can get away from you in a heart beat. I'm an old timer and I've had performance cars all my life, most being of the straight line variety. I consider myself a very good driver and have pushed my car, not to it's limits, but somewhat past mine. I keep thinking that I'll reach what is close to the car's limit but I'm finding that it seems to have no limit. I just hope this won't get some of you folks who are newer to the Corvette experience into trouble, when you go to test the limits of your car's abilities and find that your abilities just don't match up. It's nothing to be ashamed of, these cars aren't for the faint of heart or the novice driver, they're street legal rocket ships. Enjoy your new toys all you can and do it within reason and within your ability.
