It does look ugly at that spot without something to cover that hump. the plate was my second mod after chrome tips. It just looks tasteful in my opinion not overkill.

Shine some light in there it is in the shadows that hump is fugly. You need an emblem to go with the name a matched set so to speak. I actually thought about just the plate but it was the same price. I am not one for bling really.

ps. I also just debadged that corvette logo on the trunk lid. Looks a lot better now that it is off. I was amazed how the black on the rear and the logo gone makes a drastic improvement over the look at the back of the car.
