why is my original thread closed?
can anyone tell me why my thread is closed.
I'm trying to post a response to a Dupe comment, where I was advised by two senior members to post the same message in a different forum.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest it's because you posted the same question twice in C5 General. That's what a "dupe" (duplication) refers to. You now have posted the question in the regional sub forum as suggested, so the moderator locked your two duplicate threads. Once the thread is locked, you cannot reply further.
It's not considered good forum manners to question why a thread is locked. You can PM or e-mail a moderator/admin and ask. They'll be happy to explain the action. The names of the moderators/admin are listed at the very bottom of each sub forum. Click on their user name to find their contact information.
And for future reference, the forum Rules and Guidelines are a good source of information...
