The 2000 Vette I am trying out over the next couple days has "SERVICE RIDE CONTROL" in the information screen.....is this a simple fix or what does it involve??
it is probably a bad actuator on the ride control. Do you have a **** on the console with 3 settings? If it is the actuator it is very pricey to fix. It would actually be cheaper to get regular shocks and delete the ride control.

Yep, does have the 3 settings for ride control....hmmm..
If it's a good deal it wouldn't stop me from buying it since I would be changing the suspension to something different anyway simply b/c those shocks are like $300 ea. when they go bad.
My dad bought a C4 with that suspension on it and the previous owner gave us a receipt for the actuator with the **** and it was $1700 installed. You could get a set of C6 Z06 shocks for like $250 or so. and there are plug in simulators that you plug into each plug at the shock so the computer thinks the shocks are plugged in, and there is also a cheaper way using a resistor I think. Try using the search function on here and I'm sure it will give you all of your options.

I am getting a great deal on a vehicle that has never seen rain.....except the day it was traded.....from what I get from this forum is the adjustable suspension is more bling than useful....I wont sweat it but may be able to shave a few $$$ off the deal..
