well i got a new hood for Christmas, got it painted and installed it but there are some fitment issues, i got it to where it looks okay, i really like the way it looks. here are some pictures of it and the engine bay, ill get better ones sunday, enjoy
Hard to tell from the angles but the last shot appears to show a very large space between fender and hood. Is it poor alignment or the hood? Wouldn't be happy with that fit especially since it appears you put a considerable amount of time into the car.
Two additional questions: Why didn't you look at the fit before putting all the $$ into the paint?
Wouldn't it make more sense to buy on the forum vs. using ebay and not being able to get any
serious feedback.

I really wish that was a better fit for you. I understand your excitement and I too want a new hood similar to yours. In a month or two you're not going to be happy with that rise at the top of the fenders any more and the vendor you got it from won't help by then. Go back to them now and ask for some help getting it straightened out. Its bad enought that they probably won't help with the repaint cost but you should at least get a hood that fits properly.
When you had this hood painted did they trim anything off the hood, i.e., around the headlights, any imperfections or since it is carbon fiber did they just spray the hood? Just wondering cause I got a carbon fiber hood coming and seems like 1 of the advantages of the carbon fiber hood is less prep work. I am still going to fit the hood prior to paint but just wondering how your process went.

well i believe they sanded down the hood a bit, prepped it, sprayed it, and then clear coated
