[Z06] "SHIFT" ?? What happened??

"SHIFT" ?? What happened??
Went WOT today for the first time. Was at 60 MPH, downshifted into 3rd and floored it. Took off great, sounded great! The word "SHIFT" appeared in the HUD after a few seconds Does this mean I hit the rev limiter??? Did I hurt anything by doing this??? Kind feel sick right now wondering what happened????????? :confused:

Whew!!! Thanks Ric, good to know that all' OK. I wasn't sure about the RPM, but I did not think I was at the redline yet. Still a heck of a ride....probably the last time I push it like that for awhile!! :blueangel:

Every time you do, the ECM makes a long-distance (900) call to Chevy's Enforcement Division, and your warranty is invalidated .. and you pay for the call :)
