WOW, I am amazed you got that much time out of the OE battery! Congrats.
Mine is OE (2003 AE) and when it comes time I am just going with the top WalMart battery. Reviews are very high and I can get it replaced ANYWHERE without an argument.
JMHO
I did the Wally World battery before my Orbital and it leaked. Took it back and got the NAPA Orbital.
google it - rated the BEST - the only one to use virgin lead - pricey about $180 with the very best warranty - though a bit heavier than the comp .... has side & top terminals that makes for easy trickle charge temporary attachment .... or jumping another car (not recommended)
I got 1 & I got no issues, holds a vette charge for over 1 month sitting - (shhhhh) - but I started using a battery tender for the cold big sleep ...
there are lots of people on this forum that have have Optima's fail - do a search ...
Go stock GM, made for car, looks great and the most reasonable priced and easiest to replace if warranty necessary!!! Why is everyone looking for something better?? Its only a battery!! Rob
Discount prices run around $99-118. little higher on the 7YR
7-Year 50-month free replacement limited warranty
6-Year 30-month free replacement limited warranty
I just installed one today. I got the 7year. I was looking to get the Optima Red Top but after I read how much owners of these batteries where having problems I went with good ole Delco.

My gut feeling tells me that I made a mistake in getting the Exide Platinum.................Maybe I should have waited until Monday and got the AC-Delco 86-7
Oh well, The car is a driver so we'll see just how long the Exide will last !
