NO, and I would NOT use any oil that doesn't meet GM4718M.
That said, I switched to Castrol Edge when my lead ppm starting creeping up over 3 years using Mobil 1. My lead ppm decreased by 3X's with the first oil change ! I will stay with Castrol Edge.

Thats great news!.... but dont pay attention to the hard data from an oil analysis, its all just marketing hype.

FWIW, Castrol is owned by it's parent company is BP oil ? That's for all you folks hard hit by the oil spill or 2010 !

Seriously-I use Edge,because I've always used Castrol in all my cars,and never had a problem-IF I'd of been using Mobil 1 for the last ten years in all my cars,that's what I'd be using now in the Vette.
Let's face it-it's all slippery,it's all quality stuff,and every manufacturer claims their product is the best,so it is ultimately up to the individual to decide what he (or she) wants to use in their Vette,or any other car.

Mobil 1 isn't even claiming it's 2 as good as competition and in many cases it's probably true. Castrol says 8 times? Give me a break....
