Default Corvette seats ?

Does anyone know of a company like Corvette Essentials who can have you remove your sears and ship them to the company and have them rebuilt ? My seats are still OK,Some of Corvette essentials work was here in another post and man oh man I'd love to have them redo my 2003 50TH anniversary coupe done by them. I know I'd need some sort of a shipping container that would protect them down the to CE and once done and paid for shipped back to me. It looks like they do excellent work. Any opinions ?

I assume you are talking about Vette Essentials - they are a first class company and do excellent work. I've had their interior products in my last two C5s. Give Matt a call and talk to him about how best to ship your seats to him - I'm sure he has run into this issue before.

However, why not just buy the covers and new foam from him and then have a local upholstery shop perform the install? It would save you a lot of down time by not having to ship the seats and a local shop should be able to do a very good job with the install. That's what I did.

I agree with that, but I'm pretty sure there's no upholstery shop that's any where close to me, but I certainly would be willing to drive the seats and new foam and leather cover to. And then what about the seat bolster and lumbar supports, Wouldn't I be better off having some who knows how to do this job with the knowledge of what's involved? I mean by the time this kind of project is done your talking about $2k easy.

Vette Essentials new leather seat skins + foam will cost around $2200. A local auto uphostery shop will charge about $50-$100 to reskin the seats.

Perform some searches under automotive upholstery and you will probably find a few close to you. I have also checked into this option as well and one local shop quoted me $50 per seat if I drop them off in the morning and he will have them ready by early afternoon. They use a special leather heating tool that softens the leather and allows them to fit it over the new foam and guarantees a tight fit with no wrinkles.
