I don't have a mounting hint for you, as I prefer to keep it off the car myself. It gives the ability to use it on my different rides and not have it being bounced around as I drive.

Others can probably advise you on a good mounting spot, stay tuned....

You could mount it with double sided 3m tape or velcro inside the battery compartment. I like the idea of having it readily available for my other toys in the garage.

Rather than mounting the unit, you might want to consider using the quick connect adapter. I bought extended terminals with the accessory connections on them, then spliced an extension of about a foot to the adapter wires. This allowed me to feed it through a whole in the fender wall into the side cove. I also had to splice larger rings onto the adapter. Use shrink tubing on your spliced wires. I wrapped the end with a piece of velcro and attach it inside the cove up and out of the way where it can't be seen. It only takes a few seconds to pull the wire out of the cove and plug her in. In the picture you see a lot of white wire hanging out of the cove but I pulled most of that back through the fender wall. Works great!
Larger rings on the adapter:

with redsocksfan.

Mine lives on the cieling in the garage, this allows you to disconnect the vette, attach the lead with the clips to the charger and charge another battery if you have to

Thanks for the input guys maybe I should rethink mounting it on the car. Red Sock Fan where did you buy your extended terminal bolts, that might be a great way to go?

I've got & use the "comfort connect" from CTEK which plugs into the cig or power outlet.

I found the terminal bolts at a local automotive store, honestly I don't remember which one but it was probably Autozone.

If you don't want to mess with the battery terminals, the cig lighter connect is easy, that's what I did. For long term indoor storage you should open a window slightly anyway to keep from moisture getting trapped in the car, so the wire to the cig connector just slips in through that window. Keep the CTEK unit outside the car.
