I'm gonna get my windows tinted this weekend, but I'm trying to figure out what percent I wanna go with. I'm thinking 20%. Was curious to see if anyone on here has pics of a C5 with 20%, or any other % window tint that I could compare and help decide what I wanna go with. Thanks in advance guys.
1st thing would be check your local and state laws for window tint it will save you some money.
I think that dark tint (50%+) on a white car looks good specially if you have wheels to go with it but either way what ever you feel comfortable with and law allows would be a good start.
Here in AZ your allowed 100% in the rear window and rear door windows to include if its a 4 door vehicle but the drivers/passenger have to be no more than 30% so they can see inside day or night with a flash light.
Also remember when looking at these examples that cars with the lexan targas will appear to have lighter shades at the same percentage than those with painted targas or fixed roofs as no light in getting in through the top I have a silver car so I'm not help, but run 20% on the sides and hatch with a clear targa and think it's the perfect combo!
35% is good for the sides if you don't want to get into trouble. 50% and you will probably never get pulled over, 20% or less and you are really pushing it. Go 5% on the rear window and 35% on the sides like that white one above. I've been running it like that for 5 years now without problems but I also try to drive respectful being younger in a Vette also to not draw attention.
If it's not your daily driver, you may try 20% on the sides..I'd also ask the guys @ your local tint shop. They get somewhat of a "feel" throughout the years as to what local law enforcement will "allow" and should guide you in the right direction.
With 5% on the rears, I'd also get some little round dot mirrors for your side mirrors...backing up at night can be a pita when the window is fogged up or if it's really dark out.
Front Side Windows Must allow more than 35% of light in.
Back Side Windows Must allow more than 20% of light in.
Rear Window Must allow more than 20% of light in.
And here's what that looks like:
That is perfect. It looks darker than 35% on the sides though? Maybe the darker rear glass gives the sides a darker look since less light is shined through the back window.

Thanks and I think you're right about the darker rear tint. And as Superman09 mentioned, my solid top will keep the inner light to a minimum too...thus making the tint appear darker than if I had a glass top.
I run 30% on the sides and limo tint 5% on the rear window. I've been warned about it a couple times but never ticketed. Interesting, a State LEO stopped me for no front tag and measured the tint on the windows and told me if it was a few % darker he could ticket me. He did ticket for the no front tag but I sent him a pic of the car with the front tag duct tapped on (temporarily ) and he nulled the ticket.
I still put the windows down quickly if I spot a bogie.
My son has been after me for quite some time to tint my windows, but I have a hard enough time seeing at night as is. Secondly, I never use my A/C and always have the windows down when I drive. I also have the windows down when I show my car, so it just doesn't make much sense to me.
When I got my yellow convertible, the side window tint had been removed but the back was still on. I'm going to tint the sides with the lightest for the UV protection, but I still want to be able to see out at night, and that's ahrd enough as it is in a convert. I'm in Florida, so I have the top and windows down most of the time, but not all of the time. The UV eats everything up like crazy down here, so any protection is good.
Probably the biggest concern I had when I got my coupe tinted was somebody to tint the back in one piece AND know what there doing. Mine has 20% on the back , I couldve gone limo Its legal in TX but I want to see at night and besides nobdy can see inside anyways since my interior is black

You are correct on your statement above. Man the white car looks great .And again may want to go less because at night it is also harder to see stuff on the outside...
